Pop of Color Triangle Shadow Box
If yous are like me and dearest collecting little knickknacks, then you are probably always looking for a unique way to display them. Well, today I accept super fun project that helps you to brandish those little knickknacks in a unique mode. Today I will exist showing you how to make a popular of color triangle shadow box!
View in gallery Now you may be asking, what is a popular of color triangle shadow box? A pop of color triangle shadow box is basically what it sounds like. It is a triangle shadow box that is painted iii colors on the within, and then you can rotate information technology to get a "new color" to set your knickknacks on. For example, in the DIY that I volition be showing you today, I painted the inside of my shadow box orange, green, and blue. Earlier hopping into this DIY, I will say that you have two options when it comes to putting your triangle shadow box together. You can either hot gum it together or nail it together. Obviously, the nails would make the shadow box sturdier (specially if you are using a heaver wood). Even so, if you know that this item is only going to exist used for decorative purposes and will not get handled too much, and so you tin can employ hot gum. Also, if you are using a lighter wood like Balsa wood, hot glue would piece of work merely fine.

- three Pieces of Wood (the size of the wood I used was 3 inches by nine inches)
- White Paint
- 3 Other Colors of Paint
- Foam Castor
- Hot Glue Gun + Mucilage Sticks or Hammer + Nails (non pictured)
View in gallery Step one: Pigment each of your wooden pieces in a different color. However, only paint one side of the wooden slice and and then set up all 3 pieces aside to dry.
View in gallery Step 2: Now either gum or hammer your 3 pieces of wood together in the shape of a triangle. To do this, simple connect ii pieces of woods at one corner, and so attach your third piece of wood at some other corner, and finally attach the last corner.
View in gallery Step 3: In one case your triangle shadow box has been put together, paint the entire thing white and ready it bated to dry.
When your popular of color triangle shadow box is dried, you are set up to display it and use it!
View in gallery As you lot can see from the above photos, the shadow box can be rotated to reveal a new color! I remember this would be perfect to set up on top of a bookshelf and would be an easy way to update a space.
View in gallery With all that being said, I designed this shadow box to be sitting on something. Meaning, this shadow box is designed to sit on a table and non hang on the wall. However, if y'all went the hammer and nails route, yous could easily turn this into a wall shadow box. Personally, I liked the look of it sitting but (like most of my DIYs) there is a lot of room for your own customization!
